Kitchener-Waterloo Vocalist Beverly Gail

Stacks Image 186
Soprano vocalist, Beverly Gail has been singing all her life. Her love of music and sharing it with others led her to pursue an honours vocal music degree from Wilfrid Laurier University (2003). Her soprano voice and clear tone make her wonderfully suited to sing warm ballads, jazzy love songs and comedic show tunes. Beverly has appreciation for a wide range of musical styles including classical, pop, and country, but her musical endeavours have almost always been rooted in the gems of jazz and Broadway.

You can often find Beverly rehearsing, coaching, planning concerts and meeting with brides-to-be in her home studio. She lives in Kitchener-Waterloo where she enjoys life with her husband Tim and little (allergy-friendly) dog.

Please see the website's performance and coaching tabs for information and contact Beverly via email if you would like to discuss any musical opportunities.

At that first concert, I conducted the intro to a medley of Vera Lynn WWII songs, Beverly started to sing, and after her first phrase I almost dropped the baton. The voice she used was just perfect for the songs, but what really got me was the way she phrased -- she was able to bend the time, but never lose the beat. I just had to keep a steady beat and let her phrase like the professional she is. Without doubt Beverly is the finest vocalist we've ever had on a Windjammers concert, with both an outstanding classical soprano range and a low range and style that would be the envy of Doris Day, Margaret Whiting or Rosemary Clooney.
